Buying A Watch From Us
We sell a mixture of unworn and pre-owned watches:
Unworn and/or As New Watches - these are not new watches, however; they remain in their original boxes with all factory stickers and warranties intact. Further details of which can be found on the individual listing.
Pre-owned watches - these are previously used, second hand watches with varying accessories and conditions.
We are not authorised dealers for any of the manufacturers we feature on the site. Details of condition and included items are listed on the individual listing.
We sell and stock unworn or pre-owned watches as described above. You will find a list of the Products that we currently hold in stock under the “Watches for sale” tab on our website by clicking ‘IN STOCK’. We can also source unworn watches however, these are not held in stock and will be sourced from third parties (AVAILABLE TO ORDER).
Placing an order with us works differently depending on if the watch is in stock or available to order. The terms and conditions of sale are also different.
Watches are indicated on individual listings with either IN STOCK (Usually dispatched within 24 hours) or AVAILABLE TO ORDER. If you are unsure however, please feel free to ask.
Placing an order for a watch held in stock
After we receive the full and cleared payment for the order*, you will receive an email acknowledgement from us with details of your order. Please check this fully including your delivery address as changes may not be able to be rectified at a later time. If you do notice an error, please contact us immediately. The watch will be dispatched within 2 working days unless otherwise notified and agreed by the customer. Delivery is generally processed by UPS, although on occasion, this may not be possible and another reputable delivery company may be used. Delivery is always fully insured and trackable. We are also open to requests for delivery to be made by other delivery companies but please contact us before placing an order to check as an additional charge may be needed. You are also more than welcome to collect the item in person at our store. In regards to returns, please see the ‘Returns’ section below.

Placing an order for a watch available to order
After you place an order with a deposit*, you will receive an e-mail from us acknowledging that we have received your order. Please check this fully including the model of the watch and your delivery address as changes may not be able to be rectified at a later time. If you do notice an error, please contact us immediately. Watches that are “AVAILABLE TO ORDER” are ordered from an external supplier on a bespoke per order basis. Due to this, returns based on any reason other than defects, faults or incorrect items may not be possible. If you decide that you do not like the item then an exchange may be possible so please get in contact. We cannot always return your item to our supplier as it is ordered based on a discount pre-agreed between the suppliers and in turn you the customer. This is not a service designed for customers looking try on an item prior to keeping or returning as there are cost implications to our company which may affect our future ability to offer the prices that we do . Please ensure that you are happy with your choice of watch PRIOR to placing your order. You may receive a form that requires an electronic signature after placing your order acknowledging that you agree to this and are happy to opt out of the Distance Selling Regulations in the UK. We may only enforce this with said further email on particularly unusual and harder to sell models or very expensive models. We strongly recommend viewing the watch in person beforehand. In any event please get in touch and we will do our best to help.This does not affect your normal legal rights. Once the order is confirmed, unless otherwise stated in the listing, we expect the watch to arrive with in 28 days. We will then contact the you to make the balance payment or arrange collection of the watch in person at our store. The following is in regards to watches held in stock at the time of ordering only. For watches that are AVAILABLE TO ORDER, as above, these are ordered from an external supplier on a bespoke per order basis. Due to this, returns are regrettably not always possible. Please contact us to discuss further. If your watch develops a fault within the manufacturer's warranty please see the section directly below this.
Our IN STOCK watches also include a 5 day no quibble refund policy, when purchasing online, to ensure that you are happy with your item. This does not apply to watches that have been collected in store or those that are AVAILABLE TO ORDER. If you do choose to invoke this, the goods must be returned at your own cost and in the same condition in which they were sent within this period and you must follow our reasonable instructions. We recommend you use a tracked mail system and retain proof of postage. You must insure the goods to their full value. You must ensure that you pack the goods appropriately to prevent damage during transit.
If your watch develops a fault
Faults with the category of watches that we sell are extremely unlikely although they are highly tuned mechanical instruments and as such, problems can sometimes occur. In regards to a watch that has suffered a manufacturing defect, these may be covered under one of two warranties depending on the watch. In either circumstance, the best practice is to contact us in the first instance. Some issues can be rectified by guidance from our assistants. If this is not the case, they will also suggest the best course of action. This may involve returning the watch to us for which we will reimburse you for the return postage once the inspection is complete and a fault has been verified. If your watch develops a fault for any reason that falls outside of the relevant warranty, we may still be able to assist in arranging a repair although this would be at an agreed upon cost.
Watches with existing manufacturer’s warranty
Watches that are still covered by the original manufacturer's warranty will generally be returned directly to them for repair. We will always endeavour to have this processed as quickly as possible for you although we can only work to their time frame. For full details of each manufacturer's warranty, please refer to the warranty booklet (if included with the watch) or alternatively the manufacturer’s website. This generally does not apply to things such as, but not limited to, any defect in the products arising from: fair wear and tear; wilful damage, abnormal storage or working conditions or accident.
The Watch Buyers One Year Warranty
All of the watches that we sell include our Watch Buyers Ltd 1 year warranty. We guarantee that as long as the watch is used in the way it is intended it will operate for the period of the warranty as it should were it a new watch. The warranty does not apply to any defect in the products arising from: fair wear and tear; wilful damage, abnormal storage or working conditions, accident, negligence by you or by any third party; if you fail to operate or use the products in accordance with the user instructions; any alteration or repair by you or by a third party who is not one of our authorised repairers; or any specification provided by you.
The Watch Buyers Lifetime Guarantee Of Authenticity
We provide a lifetime guarantee with all of our watches in that they are a genuine and authentic article. If at any point the watch is confirmed as counterfeit, then your money will be refunded to you when we receive the watch (and any accessories provided at the time of sale) and confirmation of its authenticity is ascertained, generally from the original manufacturer. We are unable to action this guarantee without the watch being with us and without proof.
If we reasonably suspect a fraudulent payment by any payment method, then we will not dispatch any goods and we will not carry out any refunds until authorised by our bank.
Selling A Watch To Us
Free Courier Service
If you require, we can arrange to collect your time piece most weekdays from your home or office at no extra charge (dependent on the value of our estimate). You will be able to track your delivery online. Your watch is insured up to a maximum offer of £50,000 whilst in transit. Alternatively, we can send you our pre-paid special delivery pack and you can send to us from your local post office. The Royal Mail has an insurance ceiling of £2500 per package. Do not worry your watch is still covered up to a maximum offer of £25,000 by our commercial insurance policy. In the unfortunate event of loss through postage, we will pay you the value of our lower estimate amount as agreed upon and make a claim ourselves. But, please feel assured that we have not lost an item yet.
Sending the watch to us yourself
If the courier service is not convenient for you, or your watch is not eligible for free collection, you may wish to send the item to us yourself. Please send the item to the following address;

For security, and so as not to draw unwanted attention, we recommend not addressing the package to 'Watch Buyers'. Don't worry, the item will still get here, but please let us know that you are sending it in so we know when to expect it. Unfortunately we are unable to cover any postage costs when this is organised by yourself.
Bringing the watch in store
You are also more than welcome to bring the item in store to see us in person. However, we request that you make an appointment first so that we can ensure someone is free to assist you. We recommend that you also allow approximately 1 to 2 hours for everything to be completed. Please be aware that we will also ask for the watch to be left
When Selling Us A Watch
Please be aware that we reserve the right to make a £50 charge (Payable by Debit Card) to have your item sent back in the event that we find your watch to be counterfeit or grossly mis-described in the information you provided in your request for a quote. This includes postage and an administration charge for the time that we have spent on the item. This may still apply if you do not wish to accept an offer made (within our original estimate) for a genuine item, in which case we reserve the right to charge for return postage.
Having A Watch Serviced or Refurbished By Us
We offer an in-house servicing and refurbishment service. When contacting us for an estimate for work, you are agreeing to the terms and conditions laid out below.
All prices given by us before we receive the watch in person are estimates only and do not include any parts that may be required and are liable to change after inspection by our team.
Our polishing service will include a polish and clean of the exterior of the watch including the case and bracelet (if applicable) to our best possible finish. Case and bracelet refurbishments do not involve removing the case back or glass. All possible care is taken with the item at all times, however, many of the watches we deal with are highly intricate mechanical instruments. If a watch starts to lose or gain time or it subsequently suffers a malfunction in anyway then this, can and will, only be treated as a coincidence and a paid service will be required to fix.
All servicing is carried out on a bespoke per watch basis. Please let us know if you have any specific requirements. All of our servicing work (*not including refurbishment) includes a one year Watch Buyers warranty to cover any mechanical faults that may arise within one year of the date of service. The warranty does not apply to any defect in the products arising from: fair wear and tear; wilful damage, abnormal storage or working conditions, accident, negligence by you or by any third party; if you fail to operate or use the products in accordance with the user instructions; any alteration or repair by you or by a third party who is not one of our authorised repairers; or any specification provided by you.
